How does All Set work for more than one child?

See how All Set gives siblings one shared visual and audio routine board while keeping each child’s jobs and progress clear.

Getting more than one child through the same routine can feel like running three separate checklists in your head.

One child has brushed their teeth. Another is halfway through getting dressed. Someone has finished breakfast but their bag still needs packing, and now you’re trying to remember who has actually done what.

All Set puts the family’s routine on one shared visual and audio board. Each child can see their own jobs and progress, while the family view shows how everyone is getting on. Your voice has done enough before 8am.

Can All Set be used for more than one child?

Yep. All Set supports multiple children in one household. There’s a shared family screen, plus a separate screen for each child.

When you create a routine, you choose which children are taking part. A job can belong to everyone in that routine, or you can untick any child who doesn’t need to do it.

So “brush teeth” might appear for everyone, while “pack library book” only appears for the child who needs it that day.

What does each child see?

Each child has their own screen with the jobs assigned to them.

Every task has a picture and a Hear it button. A child can tap the button to hear the task aloud, which means younger children and early readers don’t have to rely on a written checklist.

When they finish a job, they tick it off. Their completed-job count and progress update on the board, so they can see what’s done and what’s still waiting.

What does the shared family board show?

The family board brings all the children taking part onto one screen, while keeping their progress separate.

You can see which jobs are finished and which ones are still waiting without rebuilding the entire morning from memory. The children can go back to the board when they need to check what comes next.

Once everyone finishes the routine, All Set can play a larger final celebration.

Does every child have to do the same jobs?

No. You choose which children take part in each routine, and you can remove a child from any job that doesn’t apply to them.

Children can complete their jobs in the order shown or in any order, depending on how you’ve set up the routine.

That gives siblings room to share the same morning routine without pretending they all need the exact same things. The toothbrushes may be shared territory. The library book crisis belongs to one person.

What happens when a child ticks off a job?

All Set responds with silly sounds and visual celebrations such as confetti. You can configure which celebrations your household uses.

Those little responses make each finished step easy to notice. They also give the child a clear sign that their progress has updated.

All Set can’t promise that every child will suddenly complete every job without help, or that every morning will be calm. It gives the family somewhere visible to check the next step, so the whole routine doesn’t have to live in Mum’s memory and voice.

Can siblings share one device?

Yes. All Set is browser-based and is designed to work well on a shared tablet or iPad. Families can also sign in on other compatible devices.

The best current experience appears to be a shared tablet placed where the routine happens. All Set has been successfully tested on iPadOS 16.4. Devices and browsers vary, so check before purchasing if you’re unsure about an older device.

The Parent PIN protects All Set’s settings area. It doesn’t stop a child from leaving the browser. Depending on your device, features such as Guided Access on Apple devices or app pinning on supported Android devices may help.

Which routines can a family create?

You can create and edit routines for the parts of family life that happen again and again, including:

  • school mornings
  • after school
  • bedtime
  • sport or other activities
  • chores
  • routines that are particular to your family

For each routine, you can choose the children and days involved, reorder the jobs, set a reset time and add a finishing message. You can also have more than one routine in the same household.

Who is All Set most likely to suit?

All Set may suit your family if:

  • more than one young child is moving through the same part of the day
  • at least one child benefits from pictures or hearing the task aloud
  • you want the children to have somewhere else to check what comes next
  • you have a compatible, internet-connected device available during the routine

It may not suit a family looking for a completely offline tool, a printable chart or a native mobile app. All Set is currently a browser-based web app and needs an internet connection.

The short version

All Set gives siblings one shared family routine while keeping each child’s jobs and progress clear.

Each child can see and hear their own next steps, tick off finished jobs and follow their progress. You can see what’s done and send them back to the board when they need the next step (instead of repeating it for the 47th time).
